		<description>Young Boy Dancing Group&#38;nbsp;Production Assistant &#124; Gessnerallee, Zurich
Young Boy Dancing Group ignites a communal catharsis through mercurial movement. Their raw and intimate live performances are inspired by post-apocalyptic and DIY aesthetics, forming a ballet of structured improvisation. Here the body moves with the ethereal embrace of light as it deforms and becomes vulnerable. Their work calls us to submit to chaos. Since its inception in 2014, YBDG's work has continued to evolve - each scene, each location and each performance brings new vitality to the work and integrates the city's diverse dance community.

&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#60;img width="960" height="1280" width_o="960" height_o="1280" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/333ecc6932c2542e67a4b233f7c35ca15ccfd920c1249229ca7b58ffa4bbda57/ybdg5.jpg" data-mid="245217728" border="0" data-scale="48" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/960/i/333ecc6932c2542e67a4b233f7c35ca15ccfd920c1249229ca7b58ffa4bbda57/ybdg5.jpg" /&#62;

YBDG 2024 Dining, a part of Tune in-Drop Out fesrtival&#38;nbsp;
The new production YBDG 2024 Dining is a participatory outdoor dinner performance. On three consecutive evenings, a table will be set at and on which a menu will be served and eaten together to the accompaniment of music. The table functions as a stage and social space for a collective experience.

YBDG Workshop,&#38;nbsp;a part of Tune in-Drop Out fesrtival
Young Boy Dancing Group workshop consists of choreographic instructions with a clear and substantial goal; to be part of a group, to dance together, to embody feelings, to explore a sense of safety in stillness with one another and to produce collective highs. Rather than a series of exercises, the workshop is offered to the participant as an intimate journey with a punk attitude towards modern dance and the possibility to allow ourselves to use vulnerability to dive deep into raw emotions.

		<description>Florentina Holzinger &#124; TANZProduction Assistant &#124; Gessnerallee
TANZ is the third part of the trilogy: Recovery, Apollon, TANZ. The trilogy deals with notions of practice through training of different physical disciplines on stage-focusing on investigations of how the body is cultivated, shaped and transformed and on the transmission of experience.

TANZ takes early 19th century romantic ballet as a starting point. It uses the frame of a ballet class guided by Beatrice Schoenherr, the first ballerina who danced the Sacre de Printemps naked (John Neumeier, 1972).

The performers undergo a rigorous training in action ballet, the so called sylphidic studies. Learning how to use their skills in a genre of spectacle that deals with supernatural creatures, they use the articulation of the dancer’s body as a tool to penetrate space in order to gain knowledge about flying.

Through techniques of restraint, they collectively practice to govern the body and mind. An ephemeral world-provoking an imminent possibility of perfection by transforming the gross into the sublime and making the functional more than functional.

In an operatic set up brutal parodies of established images of excitement found in ballet, comedy and pornography are made in order to be watched from afar and close. This industry of gaze finds its translation in the work of a porn producer who documents the performance from within.

With an all-female cast of twenty to eighty years old performers who represent different dance backgrounds, TANZ poses the question what ‘dancing the lineage’ means and how to reconcile with tradition in the territory of the nonverbal and its relationship to beauty.

		<description>EAT ME NOW!&#38;nbsp;︎︎︎Conceptual support, Outreach&#38;nbsp;
Eat Me Now! - a full-length dance piece on stage, which is conceptualised, developed, produced and performed by a queer FINTA* team. Eat Me Now! addresses the objectification of lesbian sexuality and the sexualisation of the female perceived body. Five dancers with different movement backgrounds and bodies discuss patriarchal perspectives, question heteronormative narratives and aim to develop a 'lesbian gaze'. They empower their sexuality and question their own internalised mechanisms of self-objectification. The goal of the piece is not only to criticise patriarchal, heteronormative structures, but also to live other possibilities in our own art practice.

A Co-Production with Roxy Birsfelden and Gessnerallee Zürich by FLUX Crew and Merge Dance Collective.&#38;nbsp;

		<description>ARCHIIIVE research ︎︎︎&#38;nbsp;Text contribution to SoC ISSUES 2025
An artistic research with Alisa Probylova and Oleksandra Tsapko during School of Commons program 2025-2026, Zurich, Switzerland&#38;nbsp;How do memory preservation practices and mourning rituals function as forms of care in post-colonial and post-conflict societies?

In what ways do traditional mourning practices preserve cultural identity and promote collective resilience?

How can creative methods revitalize marginalized histories for future generations?

Body as an archive? How to work with the archive of trauma?

Bodies, stored trauma, archives, Ukrainian heritage and colonialism are not necessarily an obvious combination. Neither are they a simple one; nevertheless, through discussion, personal reflection and collected experiences, we have found interconnected links between these topics. Our goal was never to solve one issue but rather to investigate and question, develop methods for inquiry into topics that are simultaneously incredibly personal and hold collective significance. This research had two main inputs, which existed separately before SoC and perhaps will take on different (individual or collective) forms beyond the programme. What connected us is our motivation to look deeper into our respective topics with unexpected inputs from each other and our peers. Hence, an unobvious combination of topics and methodologies.

		<description>Berlin Atonal: Metabolic Rift&#38;nbsp;Curatorial assistance &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;︎︎︎Metabolic rift&#38;nbsp;
Under the title Metabolic Rift, Berlin Atonal’s 2021 iteration takes the unusual direction of splitting into a (un)guided exhibition tour through the entire Kraftwerk space and a specially curated concert series that punctuates the exhibition during its month-long existence.

A unique exhibition tour that places over 20 site-specific works from large-scale audio-visual pieces, in situ installations and musical apparitions throughout the Kraftwerk complex. It operates as a sequenced series of site-specific interventions from leading international sound and visual artists, channeling an audience’s experience through organised time. It involves a walk through unexplored areas of the Kraftwerk with artworks appearing and disappearing in choreographed succession. Borrowing the logic of a ‘ghost-train’ the sequence of artwork-apparitions is set as if according to a musical score. The boundaries between things shift and reassemble. Seeing and hearing happens in a chain reaction, a circulation of kinetic energy. Follow the yellow light and don’t go backwards.

		<description>GornyatkoOrganizer
Gornyatko - a series of community kitchen events, with a focus on shaping and developing the Ukrainian community in Zurich, bringing it together with the Zurich citizens. These events have a solidarity base, meaning that all the evening profits are donated to charity organisations in Ukraine.

Cooking is a fundamental cultural tradition in Ukraine, which is forwarded from generation to generation, as a non-verbal memory. It is considered to be a sacred intimate practice, which intends care, generosity, and hospitality. Gornyatko will aim to recreate a warm family-like atmosphere, where people could get closer together and feel cared for.

The word “gornyatko” (from Ukrainian) means a specific small clay pot serving as a cooking material for long-term cooked meals, like borsch, porridges, and ragous. Its linguistic root also appears in the verb “prygortaty”, which means to hug or cover someone /something in a caring way.
